Is Global Genes Project (GGP) a 501c3 organization?
- The GGP is an initiative developed by The Children’s Rare Disease Network which is a registered 501c3 organization.
Who is Children’s Rare Disease Network (CRDN)?
- The CRDN is not for profit which has developed a comprehensive online community to connect, educate and empower families and caregivers affected by rare disease. www.crdnetwork.org
Can an individual use this initiative as a way to raise money for a rare disease foundation of choice?
- Yes. GGP has created resources that individuals and organizations can use to help their fundraising efforts.
What % of the money raised through individual efforts will benefit GGP.
- 0%
- At this point, 100% of all monies raised by individual foundations will go directly to their 501c3 foundation of choice.
- GGP is working to find program underwriters separately that will help cover the cost of the campaign.
Can anyone fundraise?
- Yes. However, if an individual wants to use GGP resources they need to be affiliated with a 501c3 organization.
- GGP can not support efforts by individuals whose fundraising does not benefit a 501c3 organization.
If someone wants to write a check where should it go and who benefits?
- If an individual would like to write a check based on efforts from a specific disease foundation, the individual can write a check directly to their foundation of choice.
Can an individual support the Global Genes Campaign (GGP)?
- Yes. All monies raised specifically for GGP will be applied to campaign costs. Currently all campaign costs are being underwritten by CRDN.
- Donations for GGP would currently be given to CRDN to cover expenses related to the GGP program development and promotion.
Can a corporation support the Global Genes Campaign (GGP)?
